You and Joseph then embark on a journey to hunt down and kill Walter in his dimension and depending on the actions you can complete the game to one of three, often somber, endings.
Eventually, you meet Joseph, a paranormal apparition who was the latest victim of Walter Sullivan and the former owner of your apartment. You discover the portal in your bathroom leads to a dimension where a serial killer has systematically murdered nearly 20 people between dimensions. The Room expertly creates an ongoing sense of dread and the constant feeling that you are never really alone in your apartment. The game depicts horrific paranormal imagery and maintains an anxiety-inducing and morbid ambiance throughout the entire game. My favorite scenes are when scissor man falls through the stained glass on the ceiling on snes and when he chops the dudes head off when in the giant clock on ps1. One day you wake up and realize you are physically unable to leave your apartment and your bathroom becomes a portal to another dimension.
