While Nazeebo may be the canon WD, I played a female though and the story flowed quite well. On the other hand, I will admit that despite the D3 story’s flaws, I did enjoy how they crafted the story for both male and female characters with the voice overs and the subtle changes with the comic book interludes. It’s a great origin story for a heroine and it doesn’t quit fit a male protagonist the way it’s told. I also think the DH story is more compelling with a female character. While you could play any of the 3 classes, the official story is that the warrior went down, fought Diablo, then tried to contain the evil soul within his own body. This is what they did with D1 and the warrior. But I think I did mention above in a previous post, that I also rather like the idea of having the class archetype be represented as a single character in canon. That’s certainly how Blizzard has approached its other games, AFAIK. I was always of the impression that if it’s in the game, it’s official. However, canonically speaking, Halissa only has one sibling, and that’s Valla. For example, the Demon Hunter class (regardless of their gender) has a younger sister, named Halissa, who died.
